Patricia Occelli, CEO

Patricia has more than 30 years of experience in design, delivery and leadership in the human service industry in government and non-government sectors. “I am passionate about making a difference in people’s lives by addressing social justice issues and by delivering quality services.” Patricia holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of New South Wales and an Associate Diploma in Applied Science (Diversional Therapy) from the Cumberland College of Health Sciences.

Graeme O’Connor, Head of Business Development 

Graeme has more than 24 years of experience in financial and business management across both the private and non-government sectors. “Our department continues to build infrastructure that supports greater use of technology to better serve our community by delivering the best services.” Graeme holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Management/Marketing) from the University of Western Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from the University of New England.

Matthew Stubbs, Head of Research and Service Development 

Matthew is a registered psychologist with more than 22 years of experience as a counsellor, educator, writer and manager in diverse fields, including family relationship services, mental health, youth, alcohol and other drugs, and homelessness. “My hope is that our department can ensure that the services we offer our clients help keep them and their children as safe as possible.” Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts with Psychology Honours and Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Drug Dependence Studies, both from Macquarie University, as well as a Diploma in Alcohol and Other Drugs, and Certificate IV in Training, Assessment and Evaluation.

Suella Wright, Head of NSW Services 

Suella has more than 27 years of experience in delivery and leadership in health and social-care services in the government and non-government sectors. “We aim to deliver a high-quality service when, where and how our clients would like it delivered.” Suella holds a Masters in Business Administration and Diploma in Management Studies, both from the University of Leicester, as well as a Diploma in Higher Education (Nursing Studies) from the University of Luton.

Sharon Grocott, Head of National Services

Sharon has more than 28 years of experience in the community sector, with a focus on young people, families and people with disabilities. “Our relationship and sexuality education programs embed messaging around protective behaviour, child safety, respectful relationships, resilience and wellbeing.” Sharon holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Victoria University of Technology, a Master of Management in Community Management from University of Technology Sydney, and a Certificate in Business (Governance) from the Australian Institute of Community Practice and Governance.

Melanie Bale, Head of People, Culture and Performance  

Melanie has more than 23 years of experience in youth work, community planning and development and human-resource management in the government, non-government and private sectors. “I am driven by the idea of Interrelate being ‘the place to work’, and I value that I am a lead agent in having a great workplace culture.” Melanie holds a Masters in Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Social Science, Graduate Diploma in Vocational Education and Training, Diploma in Business Management, and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Rizan Rizvi, Head of Innovation 

Rizan is a strategist with more than 20 years of experience in consulting, innovation and business transformation. He has previously worked with the University of Sydney and Emirates Airlines. “Innovation is the biggest story in the industry. It is big because of the unconventional ways in which we remove barriers and create new possibilities that affect everyone. We must look at other industries and trends for inspiration." Rizan holds a Masters in IT Management from Macquarie University.

Simone Jackson, Head of Finance & Data

Simone has 19 years' experience in finance and data roles, with 11 years in the not-for-profit sector. At Interrelate, Simone manages and leads the finance and data teams, oversees financial and data functions and systems, including participating in organisation-wide system implementations. "As a finance professional, it is nice to work for a company that does such good work in the community." Simone holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from the University of Western Sydney, and is a member of CPA Australia.
